Outlook® My Portal Inbox Grayed Out

The Reading Pane must be enabled in Outlook® and a message must be selected to use the plugin. If the reading pane is disabled or a message is not selected, the My Portal Inbox button will be gray and unclickable. 

Change your view and select a message to correct the issue. 

  1. Click View in the Outlook® ribbon. 
  2. Click Change View
  3. Click Compact OR Single
  4. Click Home in the Outlook® ribbon. 
  5. Click Inbox
  6. Click a message in your Inbox. 
  7. Click My Portal Inbox or the More action menu.
